I love how you play with light,
as if forgiveness were an art form,
as if the journey through shadows
on a woman’s body is not
a search for flaws
but a discovery and a triumph,
a tuning in to the divine,
as if the opacity of the flesh
were negotiable and there
might be a way to frame
a moment so that the soul
could shine through,
half ether, half earth,
star dust and voices and
the poetry of time standing still.
